Responsibilities
Deliver preventive and restorative dental care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, Correctional Facility (CF).
Participate in performance management activities to continually improve the Dental Program.
Delegate appropriate levels of responsibility to the Supervising Dental Assistant, Dental Assistant, and Dental Hygienist and maintain quality control over their work.
Maintain order, supervise the conduct of the incarcerated, and protect and preserve the safety of persons and property.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of dentistry in California as determined by the California Board of Dental Examiners.
Graduation from an approved dental school; registration as a senior in a recognized institution will admit an applicant to the examination, but evidence of graduation must be produced before appointment.
