We are looking for a skilled Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) to provide preventive and restorative dental care to the incarcerated population at Calipatria State Prison in Imperial County, California. The position is a permanent assessment starting in a limited‑term capacity, with the possibility of continued employment.

Job Description and Duties Under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, the Dentist is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive dental services, including preventive care, diagnostic assessment, and operative treatment. The Dentist oversees and delegates to the Supervising Dental Assistant, Dental Assistant, and Dental Hygienist as appropriate, ensuring quality of care and maintaining a safe work environment for staff and patients.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing examinations, impressions, and restorative procedures for inmates.
Managing patient records, treatment plans, and oral health education.
Participating in performance‑management activities to improve the Incarcerated Dental Services Program.
Supervising staff and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of dentistry in California as established by the California Board of Dental Examiners.
Graduation from an accredited dental school (or evidence of full graduation equivalent).
