Located on 50 acres of natural beauty in West Des Moines, Edgewater offers a unique WesleyLife Community for Healthy Living. Featuring lush gardens, waterfalls, and natural ponds, Edgewater provides a full continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory support, long‑term care, and short‑term rehabilitation. Residents enjoy a resort‑like experience with amenities such as a day spa, five‑star dining, and a saltwater pool, fostering an active and luxurious lifestyle.
Typical Day as Our Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
Operational Leadership and Strategy Execution: Engage in the organization’s operational priorities and strategies, ensuring seamless execution of assigned and delegated initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and leadership to assigned teams, including involvement in hiring, selection decisions, and managing team performance. Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
Exposure to Strategic Initiatives: Participate in high‑level meetings and special events that expose you to strategic discussions, planning activities, board interactions, and the expectations of an Executive Director. This includes:
Expanded Executive Circle meetings
Board/Committee meetings
Project Teams
Budget Planning meetings and discussions
Leadership Circle meetings (community‑specific as well as quarterly learning sessions)
Project leadership opportunities
Creation of Strategic Tools and Plans: Develop work products, tools, business plans, and other resources that support the development and implementation of WesleyLife programs and services.
Qualifications Our LNHA must be a mission‑focused and values‑based leader who demonstrates the ability to focus on results. The ability to inspire the team around a shared set of expectations and outcomes, as well as excellent communication and people skills, are important for this role. You must currently hold your Nursing Home Administrator license to be considered for this position.
