Construction Manager – Denver, CO | Eaton Sales & Service
Join Eaton Sales & Service as a Construction Manager based in our Denver, CO corporate location. You will oversee the construction department, manage a team of up to four technicians, coordinate logistics, ensure profitable job performance, and maintain safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Manage the entire operation of the construction department, including up to four technicians.
Coordinate all job logistics with Eaton crews, customers, other trades, city & state representatives, and more.
Ensure successful and profitable completion of construction projects, attending required meetings and providing direction/advise to the sales team.
Conduct job site visits as needed, diagnosing root causes of issues with customer fuel systems.
Assist Construction and Service Technicians in determining root causes, repair avenues, and improvements based on symptoms.
Assist Sales with bids and designs for requested or proposed projects.
Schedule and monitor projects, read and understand blueprints, code expenses, and determine tool/equipment needs.
Repair or replace equipment as necessary and work with Sales, Service Manager, Division Manager, Engineers, and other branches to best serve customers.
Direct the use of industry standards and best practices; maintain safety and training for construction technicians.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver policy requirements.
Must be 18 years or older.
High mechanical aptitude and strong problem‑solving/troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work overtime on occasion and travel for out‑of‑town projects.
Excellent communication, organization, and the ability to take direction/follow instructions.
Must be able to pass a drug test and a DOT physical.
Certifications & Ability To
A/B Operator, ICC U1 underground installers license, Hazwoper, MSHA, Forecourt Specialist, OPW Flexworks, NOV, Bravo, ICON, Xerxes tank installers, and more.
Lift 100+ pounds regularly; work in high‑stress environments with sound judgment.
Transition between office and field work; manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Resolve disputes, organize crews based on skill sets, certifications, and task needs; work long hours when necessary.
Pass a DOT physical and be available for travel.
Experience
Construction experience of 5+ years in the petroleum industry desired.
Education
High school or equivalent (preferred).
Description of Work
Install and maintain fuel storage systems and tanks.
Perform construction activities such as installing fiberglass, steel, poly, and flexible piping; minor concrete removal and replacement; hand trenching and digging; welding (optional); hand and power tool use; pipe threading; and blueprint reading.
Operate and care for equipment and machines; maintain a safe work site in accordance with OSHA rules and site‑specific safety procedures.
Job Type & Pay Full‑time. Starting at $25.00 hr (possible salary discussion).
