Summary We are seeking a highly driven Account Executive (AE) to manage and grow our SLED (State, Local Government, and Education) market segment. This role focuses on building strategic relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue through consultative selling of our IT services and solutions. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of public‑sector procurement, excels at navigating long sales cycles, and can engage with senior decision‑makers across government and educational institutions.

Primary Duties

This role will be responsible for growing account spend within an existing territory as well as methodical pursuit of new SLED entities to consume New Era’s solutions.

Confer with existing and potential customers regarding needs and pain points and advise customers on the types of solutions available to solve these issues.

Present other New Era offerings for the benefit of the client that are aligned with current and future needs.

Effectively manage and maintain current account relationships.

Review operational records and provide input for reports to project sales funnel and determine profitability.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer information and sales activity in CRM tool.

Effectively present (strategic account) information to executive management team.

Effectively communicate between internal departments and management as needed to facilitate effective client relationships related to project fulfilment and for operations team.

Represent the Company at trade shows, trade association and client meetings to promote products/solutions/services as assigned.

Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues regarding sales and service.

Confer or consult with department heads to plan advertising services, secure information on products/solutions, and customer required specifications.

Provide information to third parties as directed by management to drive solution designs and offered services for specific client projects.

Attend prospecting and networking activities within assign vertical market(s).

Generate compelling proposals consistent with corporate standards and adhere to provided templates and formats for such or as approved by management.

Product demonstrations (on‑site and off‑site).

Complete all required sales and activities reports.

Attend sales meetings.

Attend corporate and product training sessions/seminars and any assigned training activities as assigned by management.

Deliver outstanding customer support and service to all customers.

Secondary Duties

Work with internal support teams and management on the closing of business opportunities.

Participate in company‑wide projects & promotion (e.g., trade shows).

Competencies

An aggressive, energetic, self‑starter with an established skill set in solution and relationship sales.

Proven history of sales performance in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships at the enterprise level, including competence and confidence in presenting at the Director, VP, and C‑level (and equivalent roles) within both public and private entities.

Excellent networking, presentation, and communication skills.

Excellent computer skills, including a strong familiarity with the Microsoft Platform, use of CRM software and understanding of technology trends and solutions that are applicable to assigned market(s) and territory.

Required Education & Experience 3 - 5 years of experience selling in the SLED market segment.

Expected Hours of Work Office hours for business communication are 8am-5pm. However, additional time may be required based upon opportunities, client needs, and other related work.

Travel Throughout assigned territory. Additional travel may be required for client and corporate needs that will be coordinated.

Physical Demands

Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).

Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD
