We are seeking an experienced

HR Senior Associate

to manage employee benefits programs, oversee immigration processes, and administer employee leave programs. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role is located at our Boston office.

Responsibilities Benefits Administration

Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and ancillary programs.

Lead annual benefits renewal, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.

Partner with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve employee benefit issues in a timely manner.

Oversee administration of the Audax 401(k) plan, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing the annual audit process, and leading employee education and engagement.

Monitor compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Develop employee communications and resources to promote benefits understanding and utilization.

Immigration

Act as the main liaison for employees, managers, and immigration counsel on visas and work authorization.

Maintain accurate records and ensure timely filings in partnership with external counsel.

Monitor immigration law changes and ensure compliance with employment‑based visa requirements.

Provide guidance to managers and employees on immigration processes and timelines.

Track expiration dates for visas and work permits to avoid employment disruptions.

Coordinate documentation for immigration filings.

Leave Management

Administer FMLA, state‑specific, parental, short‑term and long‑term disability, and other leave programs.

Communicate leave policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.

Collaborate with third‑party administrators and payroll to coordinate leave‑related pay and benefits.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws.

General HR Support

Primary contact for international employee and office matters (London and Hong Kong), working with PEOs and ensuring government compliance.

Update handbook annually to reflect jurisdictional and Audax policy changes.

Assist with HR projects and initiatives across benefits, wellness, compliance, and policy development.

Collaborate with HR colleagues to enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and maintain compliance.

Provide data, reports, and insights on benefits, immigration, and leave to support decision‑making.

Requirements & Qualifications

5–10 years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in benefits, immigration, and leave administration.

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).

Experience managing U.S. immigration processes with external counsel.

Excellent organizational skills, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; benefits/leave management experience a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (HR certification a plus: PHR, SHRM‑CP).

Location Boston, MA. Three days per week in office. In‑office requirements may change based on business needs.

Compensation For Massachusetts only: the base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $140,000. Compensation may vary and will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and business needs. Employees may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
