Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
HR Senior Associate
with 5–10 years of progressive HR experience to focus on managing employee benefits programs, overseeing immigration processes, and administering employee leave programs. The role will combine technical expertise with strong communication and problem‑solving skills, ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Location:
Boston, MA (4 days per week in office; in‑office requirements may change based on business needs).
Responsibilities:
Primary contact for employees regarding benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness and ancillary programs.
Lead annual benefits renewal, open enrollment and vendor relationships.
Partner with brokers, carriers and internal teams to resolve employee benefit issues in a timely manner.
Oversee administration of the Audax 401(k) plan, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing annual audit process and leading employee education and engagement efforts.
Monitor compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Develop communications and resources to promote benefits understanding and utilization.
Act as main liaison between employees, managers and immigration counsel on work authorization, visa applications, extensions and permanent residency processes.
Maintain accurate immigration records and ensure timely filings in partnership with external counsel.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on immigration timelines and compliance.
Track visa and work permit expiration dates to avoid disruptions in employment.
Administer employee leave programs including FMLA, state‑specific leave, parental leave, short‑term disability, long‑term disability and other leave programs.
Communicate leave policies and procedures to employees and managers while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
Work closely with third‑party benefits administrators to ensure compliance with federal, state and local leave laws.
Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to coordinate leave‑related pay and benefit adjustments.
Primary contact for all international employee and office matters (London and Hong Kong) including working with PEO, compliance with government filings, benefits, etc.
Update handbook annually, ensuring changes across jurisdictions are incorporated along with general Audax policies.
Assist with HR projects and initiatives across benefits, wellness, compliance and policy development.
Provide data, reports and insights related to benefits, immigration and leave to support decision‑making.
Qualifications:
5–10 years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in benefits, immigration and leave administration.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
Experience managing U.S. immigration processes in partnership with external legal counsel.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide clear, empathetic employee support.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with benefits/leave management parties a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (HR certification a plus: PHR, SHRM‑CP).

Salary:
For Massachusetts only: The base salary range for this position is
$110,000 - $140,000 . Compensation may vary and will be determined based on qualifications and experience. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
