Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
About the Company A respected senior leader is retiring, and the firm is intentionally creating room for the next generation of fiduciary tax leadership. For a seasoned CPA with both technical depth and people skills, this is a rare chance to inherit meaningful client relationships, strengthen internal capabilities, and help guide a high‑performing, low‑ego team through a generational transition.
This boutique firm is known for unusually long tenure. People stay because the environment is modern, calm, ethical, and deeply human. They invest in technology, mentorship, and high‑quality work. It’s a place where professionals build careers, not countdown clocks.
If you’re a senior fiduciary tax professional looking for a long‑term home—not another 18‑month pivot—this is worth your time.
About the Role This is a true succession seat. You’ll step into a mature, sophisticated book of trust and estate work with room to grow—not a rebuild, not a scramble.
You’ll work in a modern boutique environment that values emotional intelligence as much as technical precision. Remote‑first, Midwest‑preferred, and highly collaborative. Video‑on culture. Quarterly in‑person collaboration near the Geneva/Wheaton area.
Demand is strong. Clients are loyal. Your job is to elevate the work, not chase business.
The firm has been stable for decades and is planning its next 30 years with intention. You will be part of that next chapter.

Prepare, review, and sign fiduciary income tax returns (1041, 706, 709)
