All About Specialty Sales A sales force of specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.
Teams in Apparel & Accessories (A&A), Beauty and Electronics prioritize guest experience while blending completion of tasks that ensure product is available and easy to shop – pulling, filling, pricing, setting, staging and maintaining the sales floor and the backroom.
Role Overview Knowledge and Experience:
Guest service fundamentals and building/manage a guest‑first culture.
Retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory, guest patterns, pricing and promotions.
Planning department workload and managing team to deliver on sales goals.
Managing multiple specialty businesses and balancing team member expertise.
Knowledge of competitors and leveraging insights that drive objectives.
Managing and coaching hourly team members and leaders.
Recruiting, selecting, and talent management.
Typical Day Responsibilities
Drive total store sales and understand role in sales growth.
Create a guest‑obsessed culture and lead team to prioritize guest experience.
Create schedules and adjust to align with traffic and business needs.
Plan merchandising and pricing workload including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling and promotions.
Assess competition and leverage guest insights to drive business.
Work schedule may include early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends.
Build a team of consultants in A&A, Beauty and Electronics.
Develop sales force using selling training techniques.
Lead A&A, Beauty and Electronics backroom processes and replenish sales floor.
Deliver inspiring visual moments in A&A, Home, Baby and seasonal areas.
Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming extension of the sales floor.
Plan, lead and follow up on organizational and operational change.
Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit.
Develop and coach team and leaders to elevate skills.
Lead onboarding, learning, and close product knowledge gaps.
Establish culture of accountability through expectations and performance management.
Provide service and shopping experience that meets guest needs.
Maintain ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
Follow all safe and secure training and processes.
Perform additional duties as needed.

4‑year degree or equivalent experience.

Strong cognitive, problem‑analysis, decision, financial and quantitative skills.

Additional Expectations
Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
Interpret instructions, reports and information.
Clean, handle and move merchandise safely; lift up to 15 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
Accurately handle cash register operations.
Climb ladders.
Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, with regular attendance.
