The
Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager
is responsible for leading our team of manufacturing engineers. This role optimizes production processes, ensures high‑quality operations, supports new product introduction, drives continuous improvement, manages project execution, and fosters a culture of technical excellence.
This position will report to the Director, Manufacturing Process Engineer, and is part of the Global Engineering team, located on‑site in Hebron, KY.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
Drive Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Support Production Operations: Provide hands‑on engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues, minimize downtime, and ensure smooth operations.
Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with R&D to ensure manufacturability and lead process validation and equipment qualification from pilot to full‑scale production.
Implement Advanced Technologies: Evaluate and deploy new equipment and automation solutions to boost manufacturing capability and scalability.
Ensure Quality & Compliance: Partner with Quality teams to maintain process controls, conduct RCA/CAPA, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage Projects & Collaboration: Lead engineering projects and work cross‑functionally with Production, Supply Chain, and R&D to drive operational excellence.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 8+ years in manufacturing engineering within a GMP environment, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
Process Improvement: Proven success driving Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives; Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
NPI Expertise: Hands‑on experience with New Product Introduction, including process development, validation, and equipment qualification.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, fabrication, automation, and inspection.
Leadership & Problem Solving: Excellent team‑building, coaching, and analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
Travel: Ability to travel ~20% and hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience
cGMP Medtech experience
Experience with CAD software and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
Experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry.
Experience with industrial automation (e.g., PLCs, SCADA) if applicable to the industry.
Knowledge of AI/ML integration with automation.
Master’s degree in engineering or an MBA.
Experience in a regulated industry.
Knowledge of relevant quality systems (ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949).
Experience implementing or working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP systems.
Proficiency in project management.

The annual salary range for this role is
$165K - $175K . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus or incentive pay.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
