Organization SPMF-Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation - South
Position Overview Provides skilled individualized massage services to patients. The primary role is to perform massage and bodywork for patients to relieve muscular pain and tension, normalize joint function, increase circulation and relieve stress. Works under the supervision of an integrative medicine physician and collaborates with other practitioners to provide exceptional integrative medical care to all patients. Collaborates with massage therapists across integrative medicine locations to implement and sustain best practices in therapeutic massage and bodywork. Acts as a resource and educator for patients, family members and clinical staff. Also provides specialized massage care to specific patient populations within other care centers, outpatient or inpatient units within the hospital environment.
Job Description Education:
HS Diploma: High School Diploma or GED
Certification & Licensure:
CAMTC-Certified Massage Therapist, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Typical Experience:
8 years of recent relevant experience.
Skills and Knowledge
Swedish massage and oncology massage; preferences for training in three or more of: craniosacral therapy, deep tissue/sports massage, pre‑natal massage, lymphatic massage, acupressure, ayurvedic massage techniques, orthopedic massage techniques, reflexology, jin shin jyutsu, and reiki.
Ability to work as a member of a dynamic integrative medicine team toward the highest quality service and patient outcomes.
Communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy and current knowledge of profession.
Ability to work as a team player in a cooperative manner when dealing with patients, physicians, supervisors, and all co‑workers.
Schedule Job Shift: Days

Days of the Week: Monday - Friday

Compensation Pay Range is $41.52 to $51.90 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
