Senior Test Engineer, SW Security - Space & Defense Poland (Hybrid)

Nokia Space & Defense business focuses on creating customized solutions and developing LTE and 5G commercial RAN, Cloud and Core products for our customers operating in NTN, defense and public safety domains. NTN project is Nokia co-operation with AST Space Mobile company that enables innovative, direct-to-mobile over-the-satellite communication in 3GPP LTE and 5G standard. Our defense portfolio offers end-to-end, customized tactical solutions for our customers.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced Test Engineer, eager to dive in fascinating world of high-end telecommunication technologies. End-to-end perspective, variety of tasks, lightweight processes and direct contact with customers makes these projects challenging and attractive.

Your responsibilities Analye features and design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements specifications

Creating feature test strategy for new features

Integrate and verify features in a customer-close, end-to-end test lab with real equipment environment

Plan test automation strategy for developed products and solutions

Trouble-shoot SW bugs by proper pre-analysis of the faults, deliver traces and log files and verifying the fixes delivered by development

Cooperate closely with Architecture, Development and Customer teams

Participate in setting up test related processes

Support demos, customer trials and pilots for your testing area (travel to customer and other R&D locations)

Technical work planning and governance

Providing on-boarding trainings for newcomers and trainings for teammates

Mentoring team members

Your skills and experience Advanced knowledge of telecommunication systems 4G/5G and 3GPP standard

Advanced knowledge of telecom protocols, IP and networking

Advanced knowledge of security protocols and standards

Broad verification experience in call processing (VoLTE, VoNR, CA), UE & simulators (channel emulators, QXDM, fading profiles, logs/debug), LTE/5G Core troubleshooting

Security scans & vulnerability detection

Security auditing and penetration testing

Very good communication skills in English - both verbal and written

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject

Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office) is a must

It would be nice if you also had:

Python and Shell script skills

Knowledge of other test related tools: RAIN, DCAP
