Our oil and gas client is looking for a Software Engineer for Trading and Supply. This position is working with Endur.

Contract Duration:

6 months – could extend

Location:

Hybrid position – Houston, TX

Required Skills & Experience

Endur Expertise: Functional and technical experience with OpenLink Endur v11+

Endur development using JVS and OpenComponents

Proficiency with Java, .NET, Oracle Database, SQL/PL-SQL, and Informatica

Strong SQL performance tuning and Endur schema knowledge

Experience with Connex, Grid Enabled Scripts, Operation Services, and Trade Process Management (TPM)

Understanding of mature software design, architecture principles, and coding standards

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, VSTS, and GIT

Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent delivery streams

Desired Skills & Experience The Software Engineer – Endur will design, develop, and deliver fit-for-purpose IT solutions supporting the Crude and Products Trading businesses. This role partners with IT and business stakeholders to enhance, maintain, and implement systems that ensuresafe, reliable, and efficient delivery of products and services, supporting our client’s broader strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Translate functional requirements into technical specifications with input from SMEs and Design Authority.

Design and prototype new solutions and technologies, including setup, development, and deployment.

Support all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.

Deliver scalable, sustainable solutions for global business needs.

Collaborate with third‑party vendors on system enhancements and patching.

Participate in DevOps delivery methodology, including backlog management, testing, release, and continuous improvement.

Develop strong partnerships with business stakeholders and contribute to global IT community initiatives.

Typical Experience 5–7 years in corporate IT, with a focus in ETRM/CTRM

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Required Experience

Proven track record of delivering application support and development solutions in a corporate setting

Full lifecycle development experience

Experience supporting diverse application landscapes (testing, patching, data integrity, change management, user training)

Hands‑on experience in Energy/Commodity Trading and Risk Management

Exposure to Trade Capture, Risk Management, Scheduling & Operations, or Settlements & Accounting within trading systems
