Are you passionate about clean energy and ready to make a real impact? We're looking for an energetic and forward-thinking Director, Commercial & Industrial Product Line Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll guide our C&I Energy Storage Systems (ESS) portfolio, turning ideas into products that power small businesses, fleet depots, microgrids, data centers, and utility-connected systems. You'll be at the heart of innovation—driving development, launch, and ongoing improvement of our solutions to meet and exceed market needs. Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead the strategic roadmap for EG4’s C&I ESS product lines. Position our products for key markets including fleet charging, microgrids, peak shaving, municipal/co‐op VPPs, commercial backup, and edge data center applications. Translate market and customer needs into product requirements—covering electrical, mechanical, thermal, battery management, and energy management system specifications from concept through launch. Define technical requirements for battery packs, BMS, HVAC/chiller integration, inverter specs, wiring, safety logic, and installation processes. Oversee integration of cutting‑edge technologies and key system components in line with industry standards. Approve critical design elements such as schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D CAD models, busbars, cooling systems, and service layouts. Lead UL certification efforts, including sample production, lab scheduling, and corrective actions. Manage prototype builds, validation testing, functional safety, and fault testing (DFMEA). Collaborate closely with vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure smooth product development and launch. Oversee product launches at major industry events, including documentation, installer training, and technical support. Own the product lifecycle, driving change management (ECNs/ECRs), cost reduction, reliability, and ongoing firmware/hardware improvements. Qualifications

You have hands‑on expertise with three‑phase power, grid‑interactive systems, fault current dynamics, and protective schemes. You bring a strong background in ESS: battery management (BMS), BPUs, HV Boxes, Container Solutions, Hybrid inverters, thermal systems, HVAC/chillers, and cabinet design. You understand UL testing and NFPA standards. You’re skilled in reading and creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts, and thermal designs. You have experience with communication protocols like Modbus TCP, Sunspec, EMS/VPP controls, CAN, and API vendor integrations. You’re comfortable collaborating with international vendors and partners. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with high‑voltage industrial battery packs. Background in HVAC/chiller engineering (heating, cooling, glycol systems). Familiarity with regulatory documentation and domestic content strategies. Direct commissioning experience with C&I ESS, microgrid systems, or hybrid inverters. Physical Requirements

This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations. EEO Statement
