Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, cleared Systems Administrator to build, configure, secure, and maintain computer systems and networks that handle sensitive information in a classified environment. The role demands strict adherence to government security protocols, exceptional technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively under time‑sensitive conditions.

What you’ll do

  • Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for end users via the ticketing system, Teams, or email. Provide on‑site technical support for desktops, laptops, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Problem Resolution: Diagnose issues using customer details, SOPs, and run books; guide end users through resolution, maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Escalation: Direct unresolved cases to higher support levels with comprehensive documentation, ensuring smooth handoffs.
  • Documentation: Accurately record events, problems, and solutions in logs and tickets for future reference.
  • On‑Site Support: Assist with physical projects—mounting servers, running cables, setting up IT equipment, and providing hardware installation and maintenance support.
  • Imaging and Deployment: Image computers and support IT projects, ensuring devices are correctly configured and deployed according to organizational standards.
  • Training and Development: Keep up with industry trends and new technologies; participate in continuous onsite training and development opportunities.
  • Support the Information Assurance team in implementing and maintaining classified information systems accredited under the RMF process.
  • Participate in planning for new classified information systems and support the ISSM in developing System Security Plans.

Required qualifications

  • 3‑5 years of on‑site systems administration in a mid‑level role, managing Linux/Ubuntu and Microsoft systems.
  • Proven customer support, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Clear and concise documentation of technical issues and solutions.
  • Expertise diagnosing and resolving issues on Windows Server, Ubuntu, and cloud environments.
  • Experience with Cisco or Fortinet networking devices.
  • Relevant certifications or hands‑on experience in an on‑site support environment; Security+ certification required.
  • Security Clearance: DOD Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and high professionalism in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems innovatively and communicate with consideration.
  • Demonstrated capability managing on‑site projects across functions with high quality execution.

Preferred qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or military experience preferred.
  • Advanced technical expertise in Linux/Ubuntu and Microsoft systems.
  • Scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or similar.
  • Experience managing a mixed environment of Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Networking experience building WANs or interconnected networks at scale.

Salary & Benefits

$110,000 - $170,000 a year. Full‑time regular employee offer package includes bonus, benefits, and equity. Temporary employee offer package includes benefits after 60 days. Salary is influenced by skill set, experience, certifications, and location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and reference check.
