As a Top Secret cleared DevOps Engineer for this program, you will be working in an organization whose mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong DevOps practices.

You will be responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, and addressing interoperability issues of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. You will deploy and configure services using an infrastructure-as-a-service provider and use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. Responsible for the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce across multiple tools. Deploys and configures services using an infrastructure-as-a-service provider. Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website. Debugs cluster-based computing architectures. Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems. Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.

Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Minimum of 5 years’ experience recommended. In the absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to demonstrate the required level of experience.

A typical day in the life on this program involves

  • Collaborate and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate processes and improve existing infrastructure
  • Monitor and maintain system health and respond to performance issues
  • Implement configuration management solutions to maintain consistency across environments
  • Work closely with the development and operations teams to streamline release and deployment processes

This position will be contingent upon award to support on‑site in Washington, DC at the customer facility.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 3 years of related technical specialized experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field
    • In absence of a degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

  • AWS Associate Level or above Certification(s)

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000 and $160,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
