Base pay range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Shift/Location/Bill Rate
- Training: For the first 23 weeks, new hires will train on an earlier schedule (9 or 10am start) before moving to their normal shift.
- 100% onsite at Plymouth location.
Openings & Focus Areas
- 2 positions one is inspection-focused, the other is a hybrid of inspection with additional material handling and admin tasks.
- Involves receiving, storing, and logging material, and scanning/organizing goods receipt paperwork for about half the shift.
Primary Duties/Tools
- 70%+ of inspection work uses Micro-Vu vision system
- Also use CMM (Zeiss) and Instron pull tester.
- Other tools: calipers, micrometers, pin/drop gauges, hand tools.
- Micro-Vu, CMM, SAP, and Windchill experience are pluses (not required).
Role Requirements
- Inspection experience is a must. At least 2 years strongly preferred; more welcomed.
- Punctuality and reliability are critical (candidates must show up on time).
- Must be able to work independently; inspectors often have few colleagues around on shift.
- Raw materials/incoming inspection experience preferred over process/final inspection.
- Medical device experience NOT required; any relevant inspection background will be considered.
- Overqualification is not an issue as long as bill rate is accepted.
- SAP and Windchill are nice to have but not mandatory.
Education Required
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Higher education (Associates, Bachelors, etc.) is acceptable but is NOT required or preferred over hands-on inspection experience.
- Hands-on experience is prioritized; the manager values actual inspection skills above academic credentials.
Interview Process
- Fast and straightforward: 1 phone or Teams interview (~15 minutes); generally, no second round.
- Emphasis on communication style, professionalism, and ability to describe experience clearly (not necessarily perfect verbal skills).
