*Milwaukee ER & Hospital* is seeking a skilled and dedicated *CT/X-Ray* *Radiologic Technologist (PRN, Float)* to join our healthcare team. As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.
*Position: *PRN, Float
*Responsibilities:*
* Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas. * Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality. * Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols. * Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately. * Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging. * Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards. * Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed. * Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents. * Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.
*Skills:*
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret images. * Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical terminology. * Compassion and patience in dealing with diverse patient populations. * Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry developments and best practices in radiological technology. * Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
