One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Proposal Specialist in one of several cities: Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Washington, DC. In this role, you would play a key role in responding to preferred provider Requests for Proposals (RFP) and similar multi-practice proposals. You would work with lawyers, business development managers, pricing, compliance, and other firm staff to support business development opportunities. While the Specialist will have plenty of individual responsibilities, you would work as part of team that support each other.
You must have a strong work ethic as well be well-organized, dependable, and dedicated to providing the highest level of service to the firm’s attorneys, our clients, and other members of the marketing department.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Prior significant experience in proposal creation and knowledge of (preferred provider) proposal process required. Minimum of three (3) years of marketing, proposal, or related experience. Minimum of two (2) years of working in a law firm environment. Strong client service mindset and ability to establish and maintain effective direct working relationships with partners of the firm. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and ability to adapt to competing demands. Ability to adapt best practices to the unique aspects and staffing associated with specific RFP. Proficient in standard firm computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Comfortable using a variety of proprietary marketing databases such as Foundation or CRM is a plus. Familiarity with professional writing styles and strong editing skills. Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and overlapping deadlines. Exhibit superior attention to detail and pride in high quality deliverables.
