Department of State Hospitals - Napa Job Description And Duties
The Department of State Hospitals - Napa is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Substance Recovery Coordinator (Program Director) to supervise the newly formed Substance Recovery Unit. The coordinator provides program leadership and is responsible for major operations for the program. This position, with local support and input from headquarters, also tracks patients through screening, assessment, education, psychosocial and medication treatment, along with program outcomes. Requirements:
A LCSW license and CAADE certification is required. Knowledge:
Principles, procedures, techniques, trends and literature of rehabilitation with particular reference to substance recovery; rehabilitation aspects of mental and developmental and physical disabilities; community organization principles; scope and activities of public and private health and welfare agencies; and characteristics of mental, developmental, and physical disabilities; current trends in mental health, public health, and public welfare, and Federal and State programs in these fields. Ability:
Utilize and effectively apply the required technical knowledge; establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of persons contacted in the workplace; secure accurate rehabilitative data and record such data systematically; prepare, clear, accurate, and concise reports; work with family and community agencies in preparation for discharge; develop and implement programs; provide professional consultation; analyze situations accurately and take effective action; and communicate effectively.
