Tax Principal
for its San Francisco office. With deep Bay Area roots and a growing national presence, the firm is known for its long‑standing client relationships and strategic approach to tax and estate planning. Their fully integrated services support high‑net‑worth individuals, multigenerational families, and privately held businesses, including billionaire clients.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned tax professional with extensive expertise in high‑net‑worth taxation, including partnerships, individuals, trusts, estates, charitable planning, and sophisticated gift strategies. With three senior partners preparing for retirement, the incoming Tax Director will inherit high‑value client relationships, oversee complex tax matters, and help shape the future of the firm.
Base Pay Range $200,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
Additional Compensation Types Annual Bonus
What You Will Do:
Lead tax planning and compliance for high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and business entities
Oversee sophisticated strategies in gift, estate, and charitable tax planning
Serve as the primary advisor for legacy client relationships, including ultra‑high‑net‑worth families
Manage and mentor a skilled team of tax professionals
Drive process improvements and contribute to firmwide initiatives
Support succession planning and transition of legacy clients
What You Will Need:
10+ years of public accounting experience
Deep expertise in high net worth taxation (individual, partnership, trust, estate, gift, and charitable)
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
Active CPA required
Bonus Points:
Prior experience working directly with ultra‑high‑net‑worth families, family offices, or multigenerational wealth.
