We are hiring a
Tax Director
for a highly respected advisory and accounting firm with deep Bay Area roots and a growing national presence. This hybrid leadership role involves mentoring a seasoned team while leading complex tax planning for ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, private businesses, and billionaire clients.
This opportunity offers a clear partnership track within 2–3 years. With three senior partners preparing for retirement, you will be positioned to inherit some of the firm’s most valuable and long‑standing client relationships, including multigenerational families and privately held companies. The firm provides fully integrated services across tax, estate, and business advisory, and is known for its technical depth, client loyalty, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Lead advanced tax strategy and compliance for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, estates, and business entities
Oversee and mentor a team of tax professionals and support staff
Build and strengthen key client relationships
Contribute to department‑wide improvements and long‑term planning
Required Qualifications
10+ years of public accounting experience
Strong background in individual, trust, estate, and entity‑level taxation
Leadership experience and a track record of developing talent
CPA required
Preferred Additional Qualifications
Experience with ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients
Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $210,000 – $225,000 per year, plus performance bonus. Hybrid remote schedule across Bay Area office locations. Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) match, paid parental leave, and generous PTOp>
