Opportunity Summary
The Vice President of Finance has oversight and responsibility for the financial activities of the corporation, including corporate accounting, revenue cycle, billing teams and the treasury and risk management functions. The Vice President of Finance has oversight of current financial reporting, the monthly financial package, and the creation of forecasting for predicting future growth and challenges to growth, including an Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Key areas of focus include all current accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and analysis of financial operations to identify opportunities for process improvement in support of all financial operations.

Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Present financial results, analyses, and commentary to the President, Managing Partner, Board of Directors.
- Assess current internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Provide observations and recommendations to the managing partner.
- Partner with the accounting managers to develop a framework and procedures to facilitate an external annual audit.
- Develop a process for annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis that will be executed by the accounting managers.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies to automate and streamline financial operations.
- Treasury oversight and effective cash management, including fostering strong working relationships with financial institutions for current needs and future expansion.
- Identify and manage business risks, including developing a comprehensive risk management program.
- Strong orientation toward external facing goals, including forward planning, data analytics, social impact, and governance.
- Inform the board and CEO on relevant matters, including the business impact of financial operations and policy and procedures.
- Manage horizontally, working in direct collaboration and sharing of ideas throughout the organization for better data analysis and insights in support of business/financial goals.
- Direct financial reporting cycle, tools, and reports for communicating progress towards goal achievement to support updates to the Board and CEO.
- Develop and drive specific quantitative and qualitative objectives and KPIs for financial operations, leveraging data analytics, metrics, and streamlining and/or eliminating manual processes to generate more efficiency and insights company-wide.
- Develop controls to monitor progress in meeting established objectives and normal administrative operating activities.
- Identify, with the Director of Finance Operations and Accounting Managers projects that are critical to the improvement of cash flow, tertiary reconciliation, and platforms to support financial operations and linkage of systems across the organization.
- Determine most appropriate training methods/techniques to meet recommendations and process improvement objectives.
- Assess and mitigate business and financial risks associated with corporate development activities, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with the company’s risk profile and strategic objectives.
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team partnering to drive a culture of success, high performance and strong employee engagement. Senior Leadership Team includes Sr. Director of Finance, Chief Operations Officer, Vice President of Information Technology and Vice President of Human Resources, Learning & Development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
- 12+ years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of strategy development and successful corporate strategy initiatives.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of NetSuite platform.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop, drive, and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of corporate strategy and business operations.
