Park Capital Search has been exclusively retained by a leading Private Equity Sponsor to identify a high-impact Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of its rapidly growing construction platform companies.

In the fast-paced world of construction, precision, foresight, and financial discipline are the foundation of scalable success. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary CFO to serve as the strategic right hand to the Founder & CEO—someone who thrives on designing world‑class financial infrastructure, elevating project accounting, and accelerating growth through disciplined M&A execution.

This is more than a leadership role—it’s a rare opportunity to shape the financial future of a dynamic, high‑growth construction organization. As CFO, you will architect financial strategy, influence company‑wide decisions, and ensure every project, investment, and acquisition drives long‑term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership Serve as the company’s chief financial architect, advising the CEO and executive team on fiscal strategy, risk management, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives and private equity expectations.
  • Process Excellence & Infrastructure Buildout Build, optimize, and scale financial systems, processes, and controls to support growth and operational efficiency.
  • Establish best‑in‑class practices for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Project Accounting & Operational Finance Oversee project‑based financial management, including job costing, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and margin analysis.
  • Partner closely with operations leaders to ensure accurate financial insights that drive accountability and project performance.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Lead financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic M&A opportunities, partnering with the CEO and PE sponsor to expand the platform.
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting, Compliance & Governance Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to the CEO, Board, and private equity stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven success as a senior finance leader, ideally within construction, contracting, field services, or other project‑based industries.
  • Deep expertise in process optimization, operational finance, project accounting, and PE‑backed M&A.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to drive both strategic and operational decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and advisory skills.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
