Real Estate Debt Fund Controller – Vice President

PRCM is an asset management firm that invests primarily in residential mortgage whole loans and real estate.
Position: The VP, Residential Credit Fund Controller reports to the Director and manages all finance, accounting, tax, treasury and reporting activities for residential credit funds. The role plays a critical role in quarterly and annual close and works side‑by‑side with the fund administrator. The VP ensures internal control environment and compliance with PRCM policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner capital statements.
- Manage and assist auditors and fund administrator through quarterly financial statement preparation and annual audit.
- Oversee bank account reconciliations, monthly debt rolls and compliance reporting.
- Prepare monthly loan rolls for each fund and manage cash and liquidity for high touch financing facilities.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax work, investor questions and periodic investor reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent business experience.
- Accounting experience: 6‑8 years.
- Self‑starter comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
- Preference for candidates with CPA, CMA, MBA.
- Strong preference for relevant residential mortgage loan, RTL, homebuilder loan, REO accounting and operations experience.
- Preference for relevant private equity fund accounting experience.
- Preference for SQL and Tableau knowledge.
- Microsoft Office (particularly strong in Microsoft Excel).
