Position Summary:

We’re partnered with a leader in the renewable energy sector that is looking for a seasoned and strategic finance leader to oversee financial planning and analysis. This high‑impact role will shape financial direction, guide performance analysis, and support strategic decision‑making for a portfolio of solar assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across corporate and project‑level operations.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, capital allocation, and growth initiatives for distributed generation solar assets.
  • Build and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate project economics, portfolio performance, and corporate cash flow.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and variance analyses to provide actionable insights into financial performance.
  • Oversee pricing, PPA modeling, and margin analysis for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with accounting, development, operations, and asset management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between actuals and forecasts.
  • Manage and mentor a growing FP&A team, instilling best practices in financial analysis and business partnership.
  • Prepare Board‑level materials and present key financial insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and processes to scale with rapid company growth.

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; MBA is advantageous.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience in renewable energy or asset‑heavy industries such as utilities or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling and the ability to distill complex datasets into clear insights.
  • Familiarity with tools like NetSuite, Salesforce, Excel (advanced), and PowerPoint; automation or dashboarding experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of driving process enhancements and implementing financial tools or frameworks.
  • Strong team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects with tight timelines.
