Orama is partnering with a high-growth, Austin-based FinTech scale-up modernizing the debt-collection industry.
Were working with a mission-driven business building the first end-to-end digital platform for compliant debt collection. With a $3.5M run-rate and strong momentum, theyre removing friction from payments, automating outreach, and redefining how regulated financial workflows should work, all with very little direct competition.

Youll play a key role in building and scaling the backend services that power high-volume, regulated payment and messaging workflows, systems that sit at the core of the product and the companys differentiation.

What youll do Take ownership of backend microservices supporting high-volume, high-reliability workloads Build and scale services in Go
(or ramp into Go within your first 3045 days if coming from Java or another C-family language, CTO will teach you) Design service boundaries and contribute to distributed system architecture decisions Partner closely with product and engineering to ship features end-to-end Contribute to performance tuning, observability, and infrastructure as the platform scales
What youll bring Experience in backend engineering, microservices, and SQL/PostgreSQL Ideally, you come from a previous startup and understand the landscape Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, OOP design, and debugging complex systems Comfort owning production services and improving performance across the stack Curiosity, pragmatism, and a desire to grow in a fast-moving startup environment Bonus: exposure to Go, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, or observability tooling
