Senior Python Engineer

Were working with a high-growth financial technology company building the infrastructure behind modern digital investing platforms. Their systems operate at large scale, handling real-time financial workflows, market connectivity, and data pipelines that support millions of end users globally.

Theyre looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a core engineering team focused on real-time portfolio automation, market connectivity, and data-intensive services running in the cloud.

What Youll Be Working On Designing and building distributed, event-driven services for financial workflows Developing integrations with external market and execution platforms Building data ingestion and transformation pipelines for high-volume financial data Designing and maintaining RESTful APIs used by internal teams and external partners Developing cloud-native microservices deployed via container orchestration Improving system reliability, performance, and security across production environments Contributing to engineering best practices across CI/CD, DevSecOps, and testing Supporting and mentoring engineers as the team continues to scale

What Were Looking For 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a team environment Strong Python experience in production systems Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Familiarity with services such as object storage, message queues, managed compute, and serverless tooling Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment pipelines Exposure to data processing or ETL pipelines (batch or streaming) Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability in production systems Background in financial systems, trading, or market data is a plus but not required

This role will require 3 days a week onsite in Austin, with a salary in the range of $160,000 to $180,000 + bonus + benefits.
