Smyth County Community Hospital, includes a 44-bed acute care hospital,a 109-bed nursing care facility, and a variety of outreach programs.There are more than 50 physicians serving on its active medical staff.The hospital offers surgical services, rehabilitation services, women'sservices, emergency services, cardio-pulmonary services, most acute careincluding home health, skilled nursing and long-term care. Otherservices include a diagnostic sleep center, cardio/pulmonaryrehabilitation and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Smyth CountyCommunity Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission.

- Codes/Rapid Response handled by ED physicians
- 12-hour shift, (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
- 7 on/7off schedule
- Days: 1 MD
- Nights: 1 MD Tele support for admissions & floor call
- Board Eligible or Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Be within 7 years of graduation
- Or 2 years prior hospitalist experience
- Board Certified as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- 2 years prior hospitalist experience
- H1b/J1 sponsorship
