Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis | Northbrook, IL
Our client, a rapidly growing and service-focused organization, is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead their FP&A function, drive financial strategy, and partner directly with executive leadership. This newly created position offers high visibility, ownership, and the opportunity to build and modernize FP&A capabilities from the ground up.

Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long‑range planning cycles
- Build, refine, and oversee financial models to analyze performance and future outlook
- Deliver executive‑level reporting, dashboards, and KPIs
- Translate financial results into meaningful insights and recommendations
- Support strategic initiatives including new business, capital investments, and potential M&A
- Partner cross‑functionally with Accounting, IT, Operations, Sales, and Project Teams
- Implement and enhance tools including ERP, EPM, Power BI, and other analytics platforms
- Mentor and develop the FP&A Manager and Analysts
- Establish a forward‑looking data and reporting strategy to support continued growth
- Promote continuous improvement across processes, reporting, and performance measurement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive FP&A and finance leadership experience
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning background
- Experience in service‑based industries highly preferred (contract, time & materials, recurring revenue models)
- Prior leadership of FP&A teams; ability to mentor a newer Manager and elevate Analyst‑level talent
- Expert in ERP systems, BI tools, and Excel modeling
- Sophisticated communicator capable of presenting complex financial concepts to non‑financial leaders
- Results‑driven, high‑energy Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis who can balance both strategy and execution
