Investor Relations Associate - Washington DC (On-Site)
Overview:
A fast-growing Real Estate Investment Firm is looking to add an Investor Relations Associate to their dynamic team. You'll work closely with a team of experienced professionals and play a key role in strategic development and investor engagement. Additionally, you'll be responsible for managing investor communications, onboarding, and data integrity across their investment vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a central point of contact for individual and institutional investors, as well as intermediaries, supporting Capital Markets, Finance, and Investments teams.
- Manage investor onboarding, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly uploaded into relevant investor portals.
- Maintain data compliance and accuracy across investor platforms.
- Prepare and distribute regular communications including investment reporting, distribution notices, tax documents, and company updates.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely delivery of 1099s, K-1s, and other tax-related materials.
- Track investor engagement and pipeline activity using Salesforce, maintaining dashboards and reporting.
- Gather and relay investor feedback to leadership, offering insights and recommendations to enhance communication and strengthen relationships.
- Stay informed on internal developments by building relationships across the organization.
- Monitor peer and public company activity, including investor presentations and filings, to inform strategy and provide competitive insights.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets and distribution teams on pipeline forecasting and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- A proactive, analytical, and collaborative mindset
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in investor relations, preferably within real estate or private equity
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communicator with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with operating teams
- Experience with investor portals
- Able to work effectively in a professional office environment
