Director of Quality - Manufacturing

Position Overview

The Director of Quality - Manufacturing will oversee and enhance the quality management system within the manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, maintaining product integrity, and fostering a culture of quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures that align with AS9011 and AS9001 standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the quality assurance team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with aerospace manufacturing regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations.
• Establish training programs to enhance employee understanding of quality standards and best practices.
• Manage supplier quality assurance processes to ensure that all materials and components meet stringent quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace.
• Experience with AS9011 and AS9001 quality standards is essential.
• Strong knowledge of machining and precision components manufacturing processes.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
