We are seeking a dedicated and reliable 1st shift warehouse associate who will work flexible hours, either from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm or 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The primary responsibilities include handling finished retread tires, stacking them for outbound shipment, and operating a sit-down forklift to place tires in trucks for shipping. The role involves manual lifting of tires weighing between 50-125 pounds, and requires working from pick sheets to ensure accurate stacking for shipping.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all products leave with the proper paperwork and utilize inventory sign-out sheets.
- Reconcile inventory sheets daily and communicate any policy violations or paperwork errors immediately.
- Unload and load incoming and outgoing tires, wheels, and retreads onto the correct trailer or truck promptly.
- Label stock retreads correctly, arrange tires in neat rows, and oversee customer tire storage.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure tires are in the correct rows for delivery.
- Mark sold tires by attaching a copy of the order to the tires.
- Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
- Make deliveries to customers if a valid driver’s license is held.
- Operate the forklift safely and handle phone inquiries from sales and service personnel.
- Assist with monthly inventories and variance investigations.
- Use a computer to check inventory, generate transfers, work orders, and invoices.
Essential Skills
- Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- Sit-down forklift experience.
- Material handling experience.
- Experience working with pick sheets.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds repetitively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in packing, production, general labor, and using RF scanners.
- Proficiency in manually lifting and stacking tires four high.

Work Environment
The position involves frequent exposure to hot or cold warehouse conditions and occasional exposure to all weather conditions due to dock exposure. The noise level is usually moderate, and employees should expect to get their hands dirty.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
