Essential Responsibilities and Requirements:
Core Responsibilities
- Match purchase order's with packing slips and vendor invoices for accuracy
- Data Entry of AP information into QuickBooks
- Reconcile supplier statements for accuracy
- Enter all credit card transactions
- Reconcile credit card statements monthly
- Track credits and returns
- Post departmental accounts payable to verify accuracy with the purchase order
- Properly account for prepaid expenses and recognize in the correct periods
- Perform a weekly check run
Additional Responsibilities
- Crosstrain to backup Accounts Receivable and Purchasing as needed
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct Company accounts: supplier's ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for specified balance sheet accounts monthly to be reviewed by the CFO.
- Be timely and compliant with the company's monthly state filing requirements.
- Research any financial variances as instructed by the CFO
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Strong Data entry skills
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must have a strong QuickBooks Knowledge
- Confidentiality of company records
- Extensive computer experience in QuickBooks & Microsoft Office

Education/Experience:
- Possesses a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in the Accounting Field
- Must have a minimum of 4 years' working experience in Accounting or equivalent
Work Environment:
- Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Interacts with staff, vendors, and customers
- May be required to work extended periods of time at a computer requiring repetitive motion.
- Infrequent light physical effort required.
