An innovative aerospace company is seeking a senior engineer to own design checking and engineering release for composite components on next generation aircraft programs. The role centres on rigorous review of 3D models and technical data packages in the 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA/ENOVIA environment to ensure robust design, correct standards application and clean hand off to manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

Act as primary design checker for machined, fabricated and assembled composite parts and interfaces.

Review 3D models, PMI and drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with ASME Y14.x and internal standards using 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA/ENOVIA.

Verify GD&T, tolerance stack ups, fits/clearances and functional datums for critical interfaces and mechanisms.

Ensure technical data packages and model based deliverables fully define parts and assemblies for manufacture and inspection.

Collaborate with design, stress, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve issues before release.

Required experience

7-10 years’ experience as a composite design engineer, including time in a design check or design verification role.

Strong, practical experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA/ENOVIA platform.

Strong GD&T and tolerance analysis skills, with deep familiarity with ASME Y14.x standards.

Proven experience with 3D technical data packages and model based engineering in a modern CAD/PLM environment.

High attention to detail, with a systematic, quality driven approach to engineering release.
