Job Summary:
Responsible for corporate-level accounting and financial reporting for a large civil engineering and construction firm. Focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition, percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP schedules, intercompany eliminations, and consolidated reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close process including journal entries, flux analysis, and financial statement preparation
Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts (percentage-of-completion, input/output methods)
Maintain WIP schedules, over/under billing calculations, and job profitability reporting
Perform bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and debt compliance reporting
Support annual audits, tax provision, and quarterly forecasting/budgeting
Drive process automation and system enhancements
Qualifications
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
5+ years corporate accounting experience (construction, engineering, or project-based industry preferred)
Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and percentage-of-completion accounting
Advanced Excel and ERP systems (Deltek, Vista Viewpoint, or similar)
Base Pay Range $95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
