About the Cardiac Care Unit The Johns Hopkins Hospital's
Cardiac Care Unit
is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications, including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, congestive heart failure, severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, and life‑threatening arrhythmias. It is a cardiac medicine unit; patients post‑CABG, valve replacements, transplant, or LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

Requirements
At least 1 year of recent PCCU, MPCU, or IMC experience required – CCU experience preferred
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing preferred; applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered, per nursing guidelines, and must matriculate to a Bachelors of Nursing program.
Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire

Salary Minimum $38.49/hour – Maximum $59.66/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held.
