A well-established investment firm with over ~$20B AUM is looking to add a Private Credit VP or Director to join the Middle Market Direct Lending and Opportunistic/Capital Solutions team in New York, NY. This individual will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of bespoke capital solutions for middle-market companies across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private credit and/or private equity, a proven track record of deal origination and execution, and strong relationships within the middle market ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Actively identify, source, and evaluate new investment opportunities within the middle market through an established network of relationships with private equity firms, financial intermediaries, and company executives. Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline aligned with the firm's investment strategy. Lead initial due diligence and screening of potential transactions, including financial analysis, industry research, and business model assessment. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant experience in a capital markets, investment banking, private/growth equity or private credit role, with a focus on middle market transactions. Proven track record of originating and closing complex debt, mezzanine, or equity transactions. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
