Description The Hofstra University Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for multiple part‑time adjunct faculty positions to teach graduate‑level courses in the Medical Physics Master’s program in the Spring 2026 semester and beyond. An MS or PhD degree in medical physics and teaching experience are expected, but degrees in closely related STEM disciplines will be considered. Applicants must have an appointment in a Northwell Health Department and/or have Northwell clearance to supervise student rotations. Depending upon degree and experience, initial appointments would be made at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor through Adjunct Associate Professor.
Responsibilities
Teach introductory calculus‑based or algebra‑based physics labs servicing multiple STEM major programs.
Qualifications
An MS/MA in physics, or a related STEM field.
Preferred Quals Summary
PhD degree in physics, preferred.
Teaching experience.
