Description
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a crucial role in delivering anesthesia care in various clinical settings. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments
Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
Document patient care and anesthesia administration accurately
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Stay updated on best practices and advancements in anesthesiology
Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education initiatives
Requirements
MD degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Experience in a locum or contract role is preferred
Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Schedule: 7:30a-3:30p
1:3 call and weekend rotation
Callback for epidurals or occasional emergency general surgeries
2 ORs and overflow room
Case Types: Endo, OB, general surgery, bread & butter, and occasional spines
Will work independently
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
