Description
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthetic services, collaborating with surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process. This role is vital in supporting our staffing needs and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare partners.
Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures
Conduct preoperative assessments and formulate anesthetic plans
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Provide post-anesthesia care and manage recovery from anesthesia
Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding anesthesia
Educate patients and their families regarding anesthesia and procedural risks
Stay updated with the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Active medical license in the state of New York
Board certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility
Experience in anesthesiology with a focus on diverse surgical procedures
Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and monitoring equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 7a-5p
Weeknight and weekend call shifts
9 total anesthetizing locations
Cases: Bread and butter, OB, ortho, GI, robotics, and endo; no pediatrics or hearts
Mix of independent cases and supervising CRNAs
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
