Position Details:
Saint Vincent’s Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a strong, collaborative team of Critical Care Providers. The successful candidate will provide holistic, high‑quality care to complex critically ill patients requiring advanced life support, bedside procedures, and ultrasonography for complex decision making. These patients are admitted to a closed medical‑surgical Intensive Care Unit and are under the care of a multidisciplinary care team with the advanced practice provider as a core member.

Schedule:
Full‑time (40 hours). Differentials offered.

Responsibilities:
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Nurse Practitioners and Assistants perform routine physical examinations, formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients, develop further evaluation plans, provide appropriate treatment within their scope of practice, and identify and refer conditions outside their scope to a physician.

Qualifications:
Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License or equivalent
Training: Certified or board‑eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Experience: 1+ years as an RN or advanced practice provider in a critical care setting
