per hour. The position requires
10+ years of relevant experience
and focuses on Test Engineering aspects of design transition, performing detailed structural and system assessments, and ensuring the U.S. Jet Training System design meets stringent requirements.
Compensation:
Competitive pay rate of
$80.00
per hour.

What you’ll be doing
Perform high‑level requirement assessments and contribute to redesign efforts for the UJTS program, focusing on testability and compliance for key features such as landing gear and structural design.
Conduct detailed system and structural trade studies (stress/structural analysis and weights & loads) to refine Preliminary Design Review (PDR)‑level designs.
Serve as an expert bridging the gap between design and Test Engineering to ensure functional and performance objectives of the military aircraft are achievable and verifiable.
Contribute technical and analytical content to the high‑priority proposal due in Feb–March.
Collaborate with design teams, using standard aerospace analysis tools (loads, MATLAB) for design assessment and refinement.
What we’re looking for
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (U.S. citizenship required).
10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or defense engineering, specifically focusing on Test Engineering or design transition.
Strong background in aerospace and defense design, particularly military aircraft.
Expertise in one or more high‑priority analytical areas: Stress/Structural Analysis, Weights & Loads, Systems Engineering, or Propulsion integration.
Ability to work independently and handle complex design and testing assessments with minimal direction.
Familiarity with aircraft requirements standards and experience supporting design refinement for complex aviation platforms.
