Why You Love This Job You will be the member of the Enterprise Product & Platform Engineering, DTCC’s entity responsible to provide centralized, independent quality assurance services to DTCC’s Applications Development (AD) organization and the core applications AD supports, with the objective of reducing operational costs and improving applications stability.
Responsibilities
Understanding the Infrastructure from design documents and identifying the testing scope, driving them through automation and integration into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using Python/Ruby/Shell Script with Jenkins.
Work with different stakeholders throughout the project for test executions and reporting.
Follow up with stakeholders and development team for defects remediation.
Perform manual testing of UI or APIs or any application that requires manual testing.
Improve the framework’s capabilities by developing end-to-end automated tests through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to validate system functionality.
Contribute to the architecture evolution of Infrastructure Test Automation Frameworks and related capabilities as part of an Agile team.
Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, providing subject matter expertise during project definition, requirements definition, and review.
Design and develop test cases using traditional test design techniques based on Stories/Epics or functional requirements.
Support overall QA activities such as development of Test Approach, Test Cases, and manual test execution as needed.
Work closely with application development and other technical teams to understand how changes in the software product affect maintenance of test scripts.
Work with business resources to understand the purpose and concept for software features.
Ensure on-time delivery of work, including monitoring of external and internal dependencies, tracking of progress, and monitoring of project milestones.
Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of IT experience with proven expertise in Automation scripting using Python/Ruby/Shell scripting/CM Tools, CICD Pipeline Executions.
Expertise in Jenkins CI/CD pipeline automation.
Proficient knowledge of Linux OS, Solaris OS, or any UNIX flavored OS.
Experience with Cloud automation (AWS, Google, or others).
Experience working with Agile development teams.
Manual testing using Postman or execution of APIs using Python, or any automation.
Deep knowledge of automation at all software layers (UI, services, APIs, etc.) as well as CI/CD technologies (Cloudbees, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira, etc.).
Experience in gathering requirements, preparing test cases and test execution in Microfocus ALM (good to have).
Tracking of stories and defect tracking in JIRA.
Capability to work on multiple work streams concurrently in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience in creating testing strategy and automation design documents.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
