Job Description Summary The Department of Radiology & Radiological Science at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks candidates to join its Community Radiology Group for its Regional Health Network in its Pee Dee Division that includes the areas of Florence, Marion, and Black River.

Job Description This is an on-site position with varying shift coverage between the hours of 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. Evenings are often covered with night radiologist services but may become available from time to time. Hybrid schedules may be available based on coverage needs.

Ideal radiologists should be able to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging services, mammography, and “light IR” procedures including biopsies but will consider all interested candidates.

MUSC Minimum Requirements Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree, be ABR Board‑certified and fellowship trained. General radiologists must have experience in all aspects of general radiology, breast imaging (including ultrasounds and MR), and some light interventional radiology services.

Interventional Radiologist Experience Required Must be able to obtain a permanent South Carolina medical license to be considered.

Physical Requirements Ability to perform job functions in an upright position; seated position; while walking/mobile; indoors; outdoors in all weather; confined/cramped spaces; kneeling; squatting; pinching operations; fully use both hands/arms; repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders; reach in all directions; good finger dexterity; maintain tactile sensory functions; lift and carry 15 lbs unassisted; lift objects up to 15 lbs from floor to 36 in.; lower objects from 36 in. to floor; push/pull objects up to 15 lbs; maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or both; see and recognize objects close at hand; at a distance; determine distance/relationship; depth perception; good peripheral vision; maintain hearing acuity, with correction; perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
