Our client is a family‑owned construction and real‑estate development firm with a strong focus on multifamily projects along the East Coast. Their portfolio includes large‑scale developments, typically 150+ units and valued at over $40 million, all built in‑house. With more than 5,000 units completed and another 1,000+ currently in development, they continue to experience steady growth. To support this expansion, they’re looking to add an experienced Assistant Project Manager to their Maryland office. This person will assist on multifamily construction projects across the DMV region.
Description
Assisting Project Manager with daily project coordination
Supporting preconstruction activities including design reviews and budgeting
Coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants during design development
Managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Tracking schedule and budget progress and reporting variances
Overseeing subcontractor activities and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Helping with procurement of materials and subcontractors
Facilitating permitting and approvals process
Assisting with punch list completion and project closeout
Organizing as‑built drawings, warranties, and turnover documentation
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, preferably multifamily projects
Familiarity with preconstruction and design coordination
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
