SENIOR CONTROLLER Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) $115,000- $140,000 The Senior Controller is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and planning functions across multiple entities. This position ensures accurate and timely financial information, supports operational decision-making, and helps drive efficiency in accounting and reporting processes. The Senior Controller partners with leadership to manage consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax coordination. This role is ideal for a senior accounting professional ready to take ownership of financial operations in a growing, multi-entity environment. OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR CONTROLLER ROLE: Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and tax regulations. Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management across multiple entities. Manage consolidated financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. Ensure accurate revenue tracking, allocations, and related payout schedules. Monitor cash flow and coordinate tax planning and compliance with external advisors. Prepare multi-entity financial reports and dashboards to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Conduct variance analysis, consolidate results, and provide summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Perform expense and profitability analyses to improve efficiency and performance. Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models to support cash flow, budgeting, and scenario analysis. Assist in modeling financial impacts of operational decisions and strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies. Manage vendor relationships and maintain corporate and tax documentation. Serve as a trusted financial resource for leadership, advisors, and stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR CONTROLLER: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity environments; public accounting or private industry experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidated reporting, and partnership accounting a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline-driven environment. Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
