CFO Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) $150,000- $175,000 The CFO is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting, and planning functions across a multi-entity organizational structure. This position ensures the overall financial integrity and stability of the organization by developing and maintaining strong accounting systems, producing advanced financial analysis, and improving operational efficiency. The CFO plays a central role in consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and tax coordination. This individual partners closely with senior leadership to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights that support both day-to-day decision-making and long-term strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial reporting, data analysis, QuickBooks Online, and advanced Excel-based modeling to support complex business operations and growth initiatives. OVERVIEW OF THE CFO ROLE: Financial Management & Accounting Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and tax regulations. Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, cash management, and bill-pay across multiple entities. Manage consolidated financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. Ensure accurate revenue tracking, allocations, and related payout schedules. Monitor cash flow and coordinate tax planning and compliance with external advisors. Maintain detailed tax workpapers and schedules (e.g., K-1s, estimated income). Financial Reporting & Analysis Develop multi-entity reports, dashboards, and financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning. Perform variance analysis, consolidate results, and provide executive-level summaries highlighting trends and opportunities. Conduct expense and profitability analyses to improve efficiency and performance. Monitor key financial and operational metrics to align with organizational objectives. Financial Planning & Modeling Build and maintain advanced Excel-based models, including cash flow, valuation, and scenario analyses. Model financial impacts of tax strategies, investments, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. Continuously refine forecasting tools for accuracy and adaptability. Human Resources & Payroll Support Support HR financial processes, including onboarding/offboarding, payroll, and benefits administration. Maintain accurate payroll and compensation records and coordinate with third-party providers. Assist leadership with performance review data and reporting. General Operations & Risk Management Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards. Protect sensitive data and maintain integrity of financial systems. Support risk management initiatives, including insurance and cybersecurity. Manage vendor relationships and maintain corporate and tax documentation. Serve as a trusted financial resource for leadership, advisors, and stakeholders. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CFO: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA and/or MBA preferred). 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance; exposure to multi-entity environments required. Experience within wealth management, family office, investment management, or similar financial services environments is a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP, partnership accounting, and consolidated reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and FP&A. Highly organized with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline-driven environment. Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement. Comfortable learning and leveraging new technologies and supporting others in their use.
