Position Overview The Hematology Division at the Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is inviting applications for a full‑time hematologist (MD or MD/PhD) for an academic clinical position that includes patient care, clinical research, and administrative leadership responsibilities within the Department of Medical Oncology.

Key Responsibilities As a member of the Hematology service, the successful candidate will provide expert clinical care for patients with cancer, or a history of cancer, who develop or present with non‑malignant hematologic disorders— including conditions of bleeding, thrombosis, platelet, red cell, and white cell abnormalities. The faculty member will collaborate closely with DFCI oncology teams to optimize patient outcomes.

With the support of the division, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a clinical or translational research program that aligns with divisional priorities and advances the mission of the institution. The candidate will also engage in teaching students, house staff, and fellows in the clinic and inpatient settings.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to combine clinical excellence with clinical investigation of multiple types with opportunities for collaboration across all DFCI disease centers. It is based in the Department of Medical Oncology and includes opportunities for collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana‑Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard Medical School.

Qualifications The academic appointment will be at the Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School and will be determined by the applicant’s credentials. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD degree and should be board certified or board eligible in Hematology.
