Program Details
Pay Rate:
$19.00–$23.00 (based on education and experience)
Hours:
Monday–Friday 6:30 am–8:30 am and 2:45 pm–6:00 pm
Responsibilities
Maintain safety and joy standards by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for a team of staff.
Keep site documents and licensing standards up to date, outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
Provide continual coaching, foster respectful relationships among staff, and address any challenges promptly to maintain team cohesion.
Support and report on safety protocols, ensure well‑being of all participants, identify and submit proof of MMR.
Ensure compliance with state-specific requirements, including First Aid, CPR, tuberculosis test clearance, and on‑site presence.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with children, including knowledge of unique and special needs.
Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
Communication skills—oral, written, and visual—with adults and children.
Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
Eligibility to meet Connecticut state requirements: First Aid and CPR in person, tuberculosis test clearance, on‑site 60% of the time, 1080 hours of documented supervised experience or equivalent education credentials.
